Carole A. Rerick
unknown - August 17, 2013
Carole A. Rerick passed away Aug. 17, 2013. Carole was born April 1, 1938 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Syracuse and lived in the city until moving to Chittenango in 1954. She returned to Syracuse in the early 1960s and moved to East Syracuse in 1992.
During her life, at various times, Carole enjoyed ballroom dancing, horseback riding, bowling, playing golf and colored pencil drawing. She enjoyed and loved all kinds of animals, especially dogs and cats, but any kind of creature was watched over by her when circumstances warranted. She’d even pick up a worm from the sidewalk and throw it on the lawn so it wouldn’t die. (Carole always was a bit weird that way.) She enjoyed most sports, especially College basketball and her beloved Syracuse Orangemen.
Carole retired as a surety specialist from CNA Insurance after 40 years of service and during that time was a President of the Surety Association of Syracuse.
Carole was predeceased by her parents, Lester C. Rerick and Loretta C. Wilkinson; as well as her brother, Dr. Mark N. Rerick. She is survived by her nephews, Mark D. Rerick of Staten Island, NY, Kirk Rerick of Hope, RI and Paul Rerick of Andover, KS; and her nieces, Cheryl Stryker of South Kingstown, RI and Debra Capobianco of East Greenwich, RI; as well as several grand nieces and nephews.
