Shirley H. Pawlewitz
unknown - August 6, 2013
Shirley H. Pawlewitz, 79, of Libby Street in Liverpool, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013. Our beloved mom, wife, sister, aunt and grandmother, Shirley Pawlewitz, was taken from our family and her loving husband of 57 years Clary.
Shirley is predeceased by her son, Michael and her mother, Anne.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Clary Pawlewitz; four children: Darlene (John) Strodel of Syracuse, Patrick Pawlewitz of Syracuse, Cathleen Meagher of Liverpool, and Chrissy Burrows of Mexico; as well as 15 grandchildren and one great grandson.
Shirley took great pride in doting on her husband and her family. She loved being a homemaker and enjoyed the beautiful view of Lake Ontario where she and Clary shared a summer home for over 40 years on Rainbow Shores Road. Shirley had a sense of humor that lit up a room. She appreciated the fun side of life and was often heard saying at the Sandy Pond Sportsman Club on her way home, "The bus is leavin."
Shirley was a generous person who loved to do puzzles, embroidery, shopping and on occasion, a cold beverage of her choice and was a golf and tennis enthusiast. As a devout Catholic and parishioner of Immaculate Heart of Mary in Liverpool, Christ the Light Church in Pulaski and St. Mary's Church in Mexico, Shirley deeply loved her family including her sisters: Joan, Pinker, Sharon, Linda and her brother, John.
Shirley, mom, gram "You will be missed by so many people and we regret that you were taken from us so soon." So as quoted by the famous Shirley "down and dirty".... "Good night Irene!"
