Jessie Powers Wolff

Jessie Powers Wolff, 91, passed away Friday, March 8. Born and educated in Syracuse, she was active in the fashion and merchandising field before moving to North Syracuse in 1952.
In 1978, Jessie retired from the North Syracuse School District where she had served as receptionist/secretary, first at North Syracuse High School and later at Cicero High School. She moved to Fort Meyers, Florida, in 1986 while maintaining a summer home at Cape Vincent, New York.
Jessie was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church and a faithful choir member for 29 years. She was predeceased by her son, Eric, in 1980 and by her husband, Francis "Chick", in 1996.
Surviving are her son, Mark (Emily) Wolff of Syracuse; three grandchildren, Sarah (James) Howey of Waverly, John (Jennifer) Baker of Queens and Elizabeth Wolff of Pittsburgh, PA; three great grandchildren, James and Grace Howey and Lucas Baker.
Services: 10 a.m. Monday, April 15, at Fergerson Funeral Home with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. Calling hours: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 14, at the funeral home, 215 S. Main St., North Syracuse.
