Bernard F. “Bernie” Kelly, 84, of Jamesville, passed peacefully Sept. 25, 2012, at home with his family at his side. Bernie retired from the U.S. Postal Office in Manlius after 22 years of service. He served in the Army during the Korean War. Bernie’s greatest joy was his family and will be missed by his beloved wife, children, grandchildren and sisters.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Irene Boytasovich Kelly, they would have been married 57 years on Oct. 1; his children, John, Theresa, Patrick, Maria and Michael; two sisters, Anne Kelly and Dolores Cherwaty; grandchildren, Cynthia, Ryan, Christina, Matthew, Meghan and Sean; and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, John and sister, Helen.
Services: 8:45 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at Newell-Fay Manlius Chapel and 9:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Church in DeWitt. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, DeWitt.
