Mary S. Clark

Mary S. Clark, 71, of LaFayette, passed away peacefully Sept. 13, 2012, at home surrounded by the love of her family. Mary was born June 10, 1941, in Buffalo, to the late James and Dorothy Williams Schick. She graduated from Bennett High School and resided in Buffalo until moving to the Manlius and LaFayette areas in 1988.
Mary was a devoted wife and mother; and an active member of her community. She was a member of the Pompey Community Church and its Ladies Auxiliary, the Red Hat Society, member and registrar of the Comfort Tyler Chapter of the DAR and playing Mah Jongg. She contributed to many organizations including the Pompey Historical Society, American Cancer Society, American Heart Association and American Diabetes Association. Mary enjoyed knitting, crocheting, beading, sewing, playing bridge and pinochle, especially with her close friends, Jan and Paul Korzelins.
Mary was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Thomas F. Clark on September 18, 2011.
Mary is survived by her children, Michael T. (Laurie) Clark of Cazenovia, Ann (Richard) Ponticello of Depew, Linda (Bruno) Slivinski of Palermo and Mary Jane (David) Core of North Syracuse; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; her sister, Carol (Webber) Fraser; her brothers, John (Nancy) Schick and William (Patricia) Schick; and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service at the Pompey Community Church will be announced. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff of 4 North floor of Crouse Hospital and Hospice of Central New York for the care and comfort they gave to Mary.
