Richard R. Perry, 72, of Baldwinsville, passed away peacefully on Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at his home. Richard was born in Potsdam, N.Y., and was a military police officer in the U.S. Army. He served his electrician apprenticeship at Crucible Steel in Syracuse. He then worked at New Process Gear, retiring after more than 30 years of service. Richard was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, and was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. He wintered in Winter Haven, FL and loved riding his Harley. Richard enjoyed life, especially spending time with family and friends. He is predeceased by his parents, Russell and Florence Perry.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his brothers and sisters, Paul (Diana) Perry; Jack (Linda) Perry; Shirley (Bob) Metcalf; Janice (Paul) Trout; his sons, Russell Perry; Jason (Alice) Perry; Brian Perry; two granddaughters, Mary and Belle; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services: 11:15 a.m. Friday, Oct. 26, at Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners and at noon in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church with a mass of Christian burial celebrated. Rite of Committal and burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Calling hours: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday from, Oct. 25, and 9 to 11:15 a.m. on Friday morning from at the funeral home, 3541 Rt. 31, Baldwinsville.
