Phillip E. Dann

Phillip Eugene Dann, 78, of Jordan, passed away Oct. 11, 2012, after a brief illness. Phil was a military veteran, proud of his service in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was a lifetime member of the Marine Corps League achieving the status of a Pedigree Devil Dog and he served as Command Sergeant Major in the New York Guard.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Florence L. (Wolfe) Dann, daughters Gail (Kenneth) Fitzpatrick and Cynthia (Steven) Grimm and Barbara (Wolfe) Hopkins who was raised as his own, six grandchildren, Kimberly, Jeffory, Erin. Derek, Ryan and Jamie as well as several great- and great-great-grandchildren, and nine brothers and sisters. Phil worked for years as a security guard in the Syracuse area and his love of community service led him to being active in the Jordan Vol. Fire Dept. and a faithful volunteer with the Town of Elbridge JET transportation program for the elderly. He will be greatly missed. “Semper Fidelis”
Calling hours: 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14 at the Bush Funeral Home 120 E. Main St. (Route 5) Elbridge. Graveside services were held in the Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the JET program % Town of Elbridge, P.O. Box 568, Jordan 13080.
