Warren F. Hoffman, 85, of Liverpool, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at home. He was born in Syracuse, and has been a resident of Liverpool for the past 60 years. He attended and graduated from North High School. Warren was employed by Syracuse China as a graphic supervisor for 47 years, retiring in 1989. He was a US Army veteran of WWII where he was stationed in Rome, Italy with the finance department. He was also an avid golfer with the Syracuse China Golf League.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 26 years, Corrine (Carbone-Stanziana) Hoffman of Liverpool; a son, Dr. Mark (Mary) Hoffman of Stoughton, MA; step-daughters, Carol (Alan) Shifflet of Liverpool; Nancy (David) Ferrency of Waddington, NY; a step-son, Richard (Pat) Myer of Syracuse; his brother, Edward (Ann) Hoffman of Syracuse; grandson, Warren A. Hoffman; granddaughter, Sarah E.M. Hoffman; step-grandson, Christopher (Danielle) Shifflet; step-granddaughter, Dr. Allison (Ryan) Magnuson; great-grandson, Jack R.; a niece and a nephew.
Funeral services: 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, at the Maurer Funeral Home, 300 Second St. Liverpool. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Calling hours: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Warren’s name may be made to Hospice of CNY, 990 Seventh North St. Liverpool, NY 13088.
