Frederick R. Windhausen, 87, of Liverpool, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, at St. Joseph’s hospital. He served in the U S Navy during WWII and retired in 1980 from the U.S. Postal Service. Frederick was a communicant of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and a member of the Liverpool American Legion. He was predeceased by his sister Charlotte Jarvis.
He was a loving husband to his wife of 65 years, Helen and a devoted father to his nine children, daughters, Carol (Anthony) Calogero Jr., Nancy Duke, Donna (Walter) Peters, Joanne (Clark) Whitney, Susan Badalamenti, Beth (Daniel ) Morison, sons, David, Daniel (Judith) and Steven (Tracy), eighteen grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a great great- granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services: 9:15 a.m. Friday, Nov. 23, from the Maurer Funeral Home, Liverpool and 10 a.m. in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church with the Rite of Committal in St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, at the funeral home, 300 Second St., Liverpool. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to St. Joseph’ s Hospital or to the American Heart Association.
