Babette "Bobbi" Yuhas, of Marcellus, died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, with her family at her side. She was born in Syracuse and became a registered nurse after graduating from Crouse Hospital in 1950. Babette and her husband John founded Yuhas Real Estate in 1968 and she went on to serve as president of both the Greater Syracuse Board of Realtors and the Cayuga Board of Realtors.
Babette was preceded in death by her husband John, and her son John Yuhas, Jr.
She is survived by her children Karen (Jack) of Pittsburgh, Ann (Mike) of Otisco Lake, Ben (Jana) of Baltimore; daughter-in-law Sarah of Skaneateles; her four grandchildren Bailey, Christie, Max and Elek; and her brother Bruce Meyer of Preble.
Bobbie loved Marcellus. Every Friday she'd have her hair done by Janet, enjoy fish dinner at the Alvord House and would stroll down to the American Legion to listen to bluegrass music. She treasured her bridge group who played together for decades. She was an avid gardener, a beautiful dancer and loved her dog and cats.
Calling hours: 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20 at Ryan Funeral Home, Marcellus. Service and burial were private. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Wags Pet Center, 3770 Lee Mulroy Road, Marcellus, NY 13108.
