Shirley A. Masters

Shirley A. (Beare) Masters, 83, of Marcellus, passed away peacefully Nov. 2, 2012. Born May 22, 1929, Shirley was the daughter of the late William K. and Irene C. Beare.
Shirley worked for many years at Marble Farms Dairy and eventually retired from Carl’s Drug Store, Camillus, in 1984. She enjoyed cooking, baking and playing bingo. Along with her husband Charlie, for over 30 years owned a camp on Black Lake in upstate New York, where the family enjoyed many years together, swimming and fishing. They later owned two different homes in Florida, where they lived for 16 years, and then moved back to New York in 2007.
Shirley is predeceased by her husband of 60 years Charles E. Masters who passed in 2007 and her brother Lester Sweeting passed in 2008.
Surviving are her daughters Linda (Ed) Peenstra of Marietta, Virginia Klering of Baldwinsville and Betty (Tom) Gadawski of Marcellus; one son Bob (Ginny) Masters of Tennessee; brothers William K. Beare of Syracuse and Richard Sweeting of Florida; grandchildren Jennifer, Stuart, Timothy, Mandy, Jillian, Justin and Elizabeth; and many great-grandchildren.
