Jane Elizabeth (Wallace) Barnish, 66, of Liverpool, passed away Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at Iroquois Nursing Home. She was born in Oneida, a daughter of the late Edward and Janet (Cottle) Wallace. Jane was raised and educated in Sherrill. Mrs. Barnish retired in 2001 as a Reservations Specialist after 32 years of service with U.S. Airways. She continued working part-time for Wegmans on Taft Road for seven years. Jane loved to travel and was an avid gardener. She enjoyed taking trips to the Adirondacks in the summer. She enjoyed cooking and was a home chef to all who were lucky enough to sample her creations.
Surviving are her husband of 26 years, William J. Barnish Sr. of Liverpool, two sons; William J. Barnish Jr. of Ft. Lauderdale, FL., Chief Kevin A. (Graciella) Barnish USCG of Miami, Fl., two daughters; Marla J. (Michael) Prince of Liverpool, Kimberly N. Barnish of Boston, MA., seven grandchildren; Emily, Jacob, Caitlin, Clair, Michael, Sophia, and David, and her beloved cat Lily.
Funeral services: 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14 at the Maurer Funeral Home with burial to follow in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Calling hours: 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13 at the funeral Home 300 Second St., Liverpool.
