David E. Weigand

David E. Weigand, 70 of Liverpool passed away Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at the Syracuse VA Medical Center. He was born in Syracuse and had been a resident of Liverpool for the past 40 years. David was a proud U.S. Navy veteran. Mr. Weigand retired in 2004 as an engineer with CXS in East Syracuse after 40 years of service. His memberships included; American Legion Liverpool Post 188, Liverpool Elks Lodge 2348 and the VFW Post 153 in Baldwinsville.
Surviving to cherish his memory is his wife of 50 Years, Sheila R. (Brockway) Weigand of Liverpool, a son, Timothy (Audrey) Weigand of Syracuse, two daughters; Susan (Andrew) Rogers of Jordan, Michele (Scott) McLain of PA, six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two brothers, Michael (Barbara) Weigand of Central Square, Thomas Weigand of Mexico, four sisters; Roseanne Barone of Syracuse, Patricia (Rocco) DiMento of Mattydale, Shawn (Phillip) Duffy of Liverpool, Kathleen Stone of Syracuse. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services: 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13 at the Maurer Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Calling hours: 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12 at the funeral home, 300 Second St., Liverpool. Contributions may be made to the Syracuse VA Medical Center, 800 Irving Ave, Syracuse, NY 13210.
