Leslie E. Hamm, Sr., 62, of Baldwinsville died peacefully at his home May 1. 2012. After graduating from Baker High School, Les proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. A Vietnam veteran, Les received multiple recognition awards and was honored to run the power production for the 1972 USO Bob Hope Christmas Show.
Les drove tractor trailer for more than 20 years and had a lifetime passion for cars, racing and figuring out how things work. He will be lovingly remembered for his quick wit, his devotion to family and friends, and his quiet benevolence toward others.
He is survived by two children, Les and Marnie. His beloved siblings; Edith Roberts, Jacquine (Gerald) Stork, Ernest, Doris Halko, Charles, Mary (John) Hardwick and Marcia Lamirande. He is predeceased by brother Bradford.
Calling hours: 11:00-12:00 Saturday, May 5th at Gates Funeral Home, 29 West Genesee St., Baldwinsville, with a celebration of Les' life immediately following.
