Robert A. Klinshaw passed peacefully on March 23, 2012, with his family at hand. Bobby, born Aug. 11, 1924, was the youngest child of the late Stephan (1924) and Josephine (Zygmunt) Klinshaw, who was lovingly raised by his mother and stepfather, Anthony Klinshaw.
Bobby worked at Worthington in Buffalo when he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in WWII. He returned home to Worthington where he served as President of local 2017 for 20 year until moving on in 1965 to serve as a staff representative for the United Steel Workers. He was commissioned by President Nixon in 1974 as a Federal Mediator where he worked until his retirement in the early 1990s.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 66 years Edna Mae (Johnson). His two children, Linda (John) Nowak of Cheektowaga, N.Y. and Robert (Gale) Klinshaw of Lockport, N.Y. His four grandchildren; Robert and Jonathan Klinshaw of Denver, CO, Abigale (Gary)Terrana of Sumter, SC, Amanda Klinshaw of Ransomville, N.Y.; two great grandchildren, Carter and Addison Terrana and brother Benedict Klinshaw of Buffalo.
Calling hours: 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday March 29, at Maurer Funeral Home, Moyers Corners, 3541 Rt 31, Baldwinsville. Mass of Christian burial: 10 a.m. Friday March 30, at Christ the King Church, 21 Cherry Tree Circle, Liverpool NY. Interment will follow in the National Cemetery, Bath, N.Y.
