Margaret (Bush) Haygood, 77, long time resident of Liverpool, passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at Iroquois Nursing Home. Born in Pekin, IL, Margaret was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and was stationed at Camp Pendleton, CA. where she met her husband. Margaret was employed by Rollway Bearing Co. in Liverpool for many years retiring in 1999. Margaret was an active member of the United Church of Christ in Bayberry. She was a member of the Liverpool Community Chorus, and enjoyed singing, golfing and especially doing puzzles.
She is predeceased by her husband, Thomas A. Haygood in 1998 and her daughter, Tracy Bucher in 1991. Surviving to cherish her memory are her son, Thomas (Janet) Haygood of Philadelphia, PA; brother, Richard Bush of Pekin, IL; grandchildren, Crystal (Michael) Jacob, Tyler Haygood, Joshua and Jacob Bucher, and Tracy Haygood; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services: 10 a.m. Monday, March 19, in the United Church of Christ in Bayberry, 215 Blackberry Road, Liverpool. Interment will follow in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay. Calling hours: 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 18, from at the Maurer Funeral Home, 300 Second St., Liverpool.
