Charlotte E. Saur

Charlotte E. (Page) Saur, 89, longtime resident of Mattydale, died Monday, March 12, 2012, at St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center. A native of Syracuse, Charlotte was the last surviving child of eight born to the late Irving and Martha (Podger) Page.
She worked as a cashier at Sports-O-Rama in Mattydale during the 1960s and 1970s and was known to many there as "Ma". Charlotte enjoyed playing bingo and traveling with her husband to his special Air Force reunions held all over the U.S. She was a communicant of St. Margaret's Church.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 55 years, Edward J. Saur, in 2001.
Charlotte is survived by their three children: Charlene (Rick) Romine of Mattydale, Edward (Deborah) Saur III of Cicero, and Laraine (Pat Monaghan) Fox of North Syracuse; her four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours: 4-6 p.m. Thursday, March 15, at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Road, Mattydale. Services: 11 a.m. Friday, March 16, at the funeral home with burial in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse. At the family's request, friends should come casually dressed.
