Mary E. Patanella

Mary E. (Wright) Patanella, 30, lifelong resident of Mattydale, died Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012, unexpectedly. Mary attended North Syracuse School District and graduated from Lockport High in 2000. She attended Paul Smith College in Saranac Lake where she obtained her associate’s degree in 2002. Mary was a chef for the past 10 years and for the past two years, she worked at Bellevue Country Club in Syracuse. Prior to that, Mary was employed as a chef at Silver Lake Country Club in Perry, N.Y. and at the VA Medical Center in Batavia. She was a member of the Mattydale American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post #1832 and enjoyed drawing as well as cooking.
She leaves behind her daughters: Erica Jade, and Erin MacKenzie both living at home as well as father, Timothy of Dansville; her mother Linda (Harold) Ailing of East Aurora, NY; her father, Michael (Sherrie) Wright of Mattydale; a brother, Christopher (Nicole) Wright of Mattydale; a niece, Rose and a nephew, Michael; and several aunts and uncles.
Calling hours: 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, March 5, at Krueger Funeral Home,2619 Brewerton Road, Mattydale, with a funeral services following at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Make A Wish Foundation 5005 Campuswood Dr. East Syracuse, NY 13057.
