Ronald Judge Love entered into eternal rest on Feb. 24, 2012, after a short illness. Ron was born in Manlius on Nov. 18, 1932, to Lucille(Judge) and Robert Love. Graduating with a bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University in landscape architecture in 1951, Ron did design work on the St. Lawrence Seaway Project and served as city planner for Utica.
In 1954, he joined the U.S. Navy, retiring as LCDR with 12 years active and reserve duty flying missions in Europe, Africa, Antartica and Vietnam. Ron spent 30 years as an investment banker on Wall Street working for primarily “boutique firms,” most notably F. Eberstadt and Company. Surviving him is his Lydia at home in Washingtonville, N.Y. A donation to the local humane society would be appreciated.
