Mary E. “Elsie” (Moran) Ingersoll, 96, of Baldwinsville, passed away Feb. 18, 2012, at the home of her daughter in Mesa, Ariz. Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Moran. Elsie graduated from Oswego High School and attended Oswego Normal School. She was a seasoned traveler and avid golfer, playing golf into her 90s. She was an active member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church and belonged to the senior group. Elsie also enjoyed Beaver Lake Nature Center, where she walked a hundred miles. She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald “Mick” in 1966, her sister, Sarah Lower, and her grandsons, Edward and Thomas Anderson, and Thomas Buczak.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her six daughters, Judith Fisher of Mesa, AZ; Mary (Bob) Jeschke of Scottsdale, AZ; Linda (Jane) Ingersoll of Mesa, AZ; Patricia (Bob) Vanderwerken of Baldwinsville; Margaret (Bill) Brisky of Port St. Lucee, FL; Catherine Ingersoll of Syracuse; her brother, Raymond Moran of CA; eight grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Calling hours: from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 10, followed by A mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 3494 Route 31, Baldwinsville. Burial will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Oswego. Contributions in Elsie’s memory may be made to Beaver Lake Nature Center, E. Mud Lake Rd., Baldwinsville, or to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church.
