Eleanor Alexander, 95, of Camillus, passed away Monday, Feb. 13, 2012, at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center. Born in New York City on Tuesday, Aug. 8, 1916, she was the daughter of Arthur Weaver and Frances Dedham Weaver. She lived in Carle Place, N.Y. for 68 years before moving to Camillus in 2008. She retired in 1976 from Garden City Nursery School, Garden City, N.Y. She was a member of Westbury United Methodist Church and Homemakers of Garden City.
Eleanor was predeceased by her husband, Robert, in 1991.
Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Eileen and Jim Frein of Camillus, and Jeanne and Scott Cunningham of Westbury; grandchildren, Jennifer (Scott) Searle, Joanna (Bob) Dudley, Eric (Kristin) Kohn, Scott (Summer) Frein, Robert Kohn, and Meghan Frein; and great-grandchildren, Alex, Owen and Nathan Searle, Sophia and William Dudley, and Morgan and Henry Kohn.
Relatives and friends called from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 17, at the Donohue Cecere Funeral Home, Post Ave., Westbury, N.Y. Services followed at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
