Charles Henry Cartner, 91, of Baldwinsville, died Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012, at the Syracuse V.A Medical Center. He was born in Waterloo, raised in Syracuse and lived in Baldwinsville for the past 65 years. He was a retired teamster who worked for Loblaws Inc. as a tractor trailer driver for over 25 years. He was an Army veteran serving during WWII. He enjoyed 55 years of camping on Charleston Lake in Ontario, Canada .He was predeceased by a son Charles F. who died in 1991.
Surviving: His wife of 69 years; Lorelei F. of Baldwinsville; two sons; Michael of Baldwinsville and Kevin (Vicki) of Syracuse; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services: 4 p.m. Monday Feb. 13, at Gates Funeral Home, Inc. Spring burial will be in Jacksonville Cemetery, Lysander. Calling hours: 2 to 4 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, 29 W. Genesee Street, Baldwinsville.
