Ryan Alisanski, 32, of Fairmount, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012 at University Hospital following a brief illness. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, he was born on Monday, Oct. 13, 1980 and graduated from Marcellus High School in 1999 and Rochester Institute of Technology in 2003.
Ryan was employed for 10 years with Marsh Inc. He was a communicant of Holy Family Church. An avid Syracuse University basketball and Yankees fan, he also loved playing golf and spending time with his dog, Max.
Ryan was predeceased by his father, Francis Alisanski.
Surviving are his wife, the former Kristin Metz; mother, Marlene (Katz) Alisanski of Marcellus; sisters and brother-in-law, Susan Alisanski of Fort Myers, Florida and Erin and Dave Laurence of Virginia Beach, Va; brothers, Chris of Houston, Texas and Michael of San Antonio, Texas; nephew, Brian Laurence; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Relatives and friends called from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services were 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 21 at the funeral home and 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church where a funeral Mass was celebrated with Rev. Dennis Hayes and Rev. Gregory Kreinheder officiating. Ryan was laid to rest in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Marcellus. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Camillus Erie Canal Park, 5750 DeVoe Rd., Camillus, NY 13031.
