Alice Mae Boland, 86, of Kirkville, entered unto rest on Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, at home. She was born in Minoa and lived there for 79 years until moving to Kirkville. Alice was a graduate of Minoa High School and Syracuse University. She was a supervisor for ACME Markets for 25 years as well as a clerk for the Village of Minoa. As a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Minoa, she was an active volunteer serving in many capacities. Alice was always active, whether she was playing golf at Rogues Roost, bowling in leagues for Syracuse Bearing-Pallone Heating or in her weekly card games with lifelong friends. She was predeceased by her husband Richard P. Boland on February 10, 1997 after 50 years of marriage.
Survivors: two daughters, Sharon (Patrick) Abbott of Kirkville and Joyce (James) Conley of Cicero; a son, Richard P. (Sue) Boland, Jr. of Fayetteville, NC; eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
