Dorothy G. Wells DePan, 94, of North Syracuse died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012, at Crouse Hospital. She was born in Syracuse and had lived for 50 years on Gillette Road before moving to Centerville Court 14 years ago. She was a 60-year communicant of Sacred Heart Church and a member of the Altar Rosary Society. She was a very active member of Cicero Senior Citizens and the resident's groups of Centerville Court. She also volunteered with the American Red Cross.
Leonard L. DePan, her husband of 49 years, predeceased her on April 24, 1991.
Surviving are her daughters, Linda D. (Wendall) Hendrix of Cicero and Carol E. Hooks of Alexandria, VA; five grand children, Kevin Hendrix, Kim (Peter) Barley, Michael (Myrna) Hendrix, Kristine (Stephen) Holden and Brian Hooks; nine great grandchildren, two step-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services: 9 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, at Fergerson Funeral Home; Mass of Christian burial: 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church of Cicero with entombment following in St. Mary's Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum, DeWitt. Calling hours: 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, from at the funeral Home, 215 South Main St., North Syracuse.
