Ilean Whitman Brower, 87, of Syracuse, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2012, at Van Duyn Home & Hospital. Born in Wells on Thursday, October 2, 1924, she was the daughter of George Whitman and Edith Warner Whitman. She was raised in Northville and spent most of her adult life in Gloversville before moving to the Syracuse area in the 1980s.
Ilean retired from Joseph Perrella Glove Co., Inc., after 35 years. Following retirement, she worked as a home health aide. She was a former member of Cranberry Creek Community Church and enjoyed vegetable gardening and canning.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, David and Rena Brower of Camillus; granddaughter, Susannah Brower of Toronto; grandsons, Nathaniel Brower of Washington, DC and Benjamin Brower of Troy; sister, Marie Schuyler of Vero Beach, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours: 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., Monday, April 16, at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services followed at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev.
