Mildred B. Kenney “Bonnie,” 70, lifelong resident of Liverpool, peacefully left us Good Friday Morning. April 6, 2012, to celebrate this Easter with her mom and dad and older brother Larry. Bonnie spent her life helping others, first as an LPN working in Crouse Hospital as a member of P.C.U. Then, gaining her undergraduate and master’s degrees in social work from Syracuse University, she was a member of Huntington Social Services where she worked with troubled families. She thoroughly understood the need for care and well being in a truly human way.
Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Mary Kay Manns, and husband, Mike, of Lysander, sons, Jay Scott Kenney and wife Tami of West Monroe, Sean Patrick Kenney and wife Hope (Kristy) of Liverpool, brother, Patrick Bragan and wife Alice, sister, Katie (Kasha) Spangle and husband Peter, brother Fredrick Bragan and wife Cathy and many nieces, nephews, cousins and wonderful friends.
Calling hours: 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, followed by a ceremony to honor Bonnie’s life at 4 p.m. at the Maurer Funeral Home, Moyers Corners, 3541 Route 31, Baldwinsville. A reception will be held at Bonnie’s home from 6 p.m. until ?.
