Mr. Louis “Lou” Sticco, of Liverpool, passed away on Wednesday Sept. 28, 2011, at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center. He was born in Brooklyn a son of the late Genaro and Maria (Monica) Sticco, where he was raised and educated. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in WWII. In 1960 along with his family Louis relocated to the Syracuse area where they have since resided. Mr Sticco retired in 1983 as a Division Manager with the United Parcel Service after 38 years of service. An avid golfer, Lou took full advantage of his winter home in Venice Fl. being able to play year round. He had a great sense of humor and loved to spend time with his family especially his grandchildren. He also loved to eat enjoying his pasta dinners. He was a parishioner of St Joseph the Worker Church. He is predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
Surviving is his wife of 65 years, Anne (Cozzolino) Sticco, a son Robert F. (Susan) Sticco, a daughter: Lyn (Joe) Detor all of Liverpool, five grandchildren; Amy, Carrie, Michael, Jessica, and Andrew, two great granddaughters, Lila and Emma.
Calling hours: from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday Sept. 30 at the Maurer Funeral Home 300 Second St., Liverpool with Funeral Services to follow at 4:00pm. at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
