Marguerite (Kline) Mazzye, 68, lifetime resident of Syracuse, passed away Sunday Sept. 18, 2011, at home with her family by her side. Marguerite was a1961 graduate of Central Tech High School and attended Syracuse University.
She retired in 2005 after 24years as a senior purchasing agent for Syracuse University. Marguerite was a past Queen of Ilderim Temple #15 Daughters of the Nile and a former member of Lyncourt Volunteer Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary. She attended St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in Syracuse.
She was predeceased by her mother, the former Marian (Russell) and by a sister, Judith Whitford.
Marguerite is survived by her husband of 40 years, Frank Mazzye; their three children: Mark (Laurie Brown) Mazzye of Brooklyn, Timothy (Karen) Mazzye and Marian (Robert) Hayden, all of Lyncourt; her father, James Kline of Liverpool; two brothers: James (Pam) Kline of Hastings, and Peter (Sue) Kline of Lyncourt; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours: from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday Sept. 21 at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. A prayer service was held at 9:15 a.m. Thursday Sept. 22 at the funeral home followed by funeral services at 10 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse.
