Sharon H. Graham, 76, of Fairmount, passed away Thursday Sept. 8, 2011, at home, surrounded by her family. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, she was born Monday Aug. 26, 1935 and was the daughter of Albert Willard Hilleges and Viena Gertrude Tolhurst Hilleges. She was a 1953 graduate of East Syracuse Minoa High School.
Sharon was secretary for her husband’s banking supply company, David P. Graham Co., for 37 years, retiring in 2007. They also owned and operated House of Kleen, a laundromat in Syracuse for many years. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed gardening, shopping road trips, crafts, and sewing.
Sharon was predeceased by her brother, James Hilleges; sisters, Jean Pisceli and Mabel Murphy; and grandson, Steven Graham.
Surviving are her husband of 41 years, David Phillips Graham Sr.; daughters and sons-in-law, Carrie and Jeffrey Fellows of Fulton, Daryl and Mark Hanifan of Syracuse, Sheila and David Milden of Phoenix, New York, and Gwen and Stan Loeffler of St. Charles, Missouri; sons and daughters-in-law, David Jr. of North Carolina, Geoffrey and Megan of Huntersville, North Carolina, Bradley and Carolyn of Braintree, Massachusetts, Gary and Marie Vertigan of Syracuse, and Peter and Suzanne of Mansfield, Massachusetts; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sandra and Bob Mullane of Camillus, Karen and Robert Jackson of Kirkville, Andrea and Ronald Hoffman of Liverpool, Pamela Hilleges of Syracuse, and Candace Zeppetello of Fremont; brothers and sisters-in-law, Keith and Judith Hilleges of Mattydale, Brad and Taryn Hilleges of Bridgeport, Dennis and Diane Hilleges of Phoenix, New York and Douglas and Vicky Hilleges of East Syracuse; 20 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends called from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday Sept. 12 and Tuesday Sept. 13 at Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Rev. Rebecca Coerper, from St. James Episcopal Church in Skaneateles, officiated the funeral services at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday Sept. 14 at the funeral home. Sharon was laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
