Priscilla Woodbury Ashley Jackson, 81, of Baldwinsville, passed away Tuesday Sept. 6, 2011, at Crouse Hospital. She had a short, courageous battle with colon cancer. Priscilla was born in Watertown, MA, grew up in Belmont, summered on Martha’s Vineyard, and graduated from Vermont Junior College. Priscilla married James M. Jackson in October 1954, moved to central New York residing the last 50 years in Baldwinsville raising five children. Priscilla was an avid golfer, bridge player and bowler. She was a past President of the Baldwinsville Art Guild, a member of The Travelers Club, a volunteer driver for Meals on Wheels and a Republican committee member.
Priscilla is survived by 'the man that came with the house, her husband of 57 years, James M. Jackson, her children Mary Alice (Earl) Westerlund of Binghamton, NY, Susan (Don) Morgan of West Palm Beach, FL, Steven (Amy) Jackson of Elbridge, NY, Elizabeth (Pat) McCartin of Buford, GA, and Amy Jackson of NYC. Priscilla has eight grandchildren and an assortment of nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sister Elizabeth Gardner of Concord, MA, and was predeceased by her brother Thomas Ashley.
Calling hours: 4-7 p.m. Friday Sept. 9 at Gates Funeral Home, 29 West Genesee St., Baldwinsville. Services and burial will be private.
