William A. Clark

William A. Clark, 90, of Liverpool, passed away on Monday, Nov. 21, 2011, at Crouse Hospital. Born in Herkimer, he resided in the Syracuse area for the past 50 years. Bill was a US Army veteran of WWII proudly serving his country as a staff sergeant. in the 42nd Infantry Division of the 542nd Field Artillery Battalion. He was the owner and operator of Majestic Motors in North Syracuse, and was a two term president and long standing board member of the Syracuse Automobile Dealers Association. He enjoyed everything about cars, working on them and also being involved in stock car racing. Bill was a member of Herkimer Lodge #423 F & AM. He was an avid golfer, bowler, and enjoyed riding his bicycle and woodworking. After retiring, he traveled extensively with his wife of 57 years, Virginia, who passed away in 2005. He was also predeceased by his son, James in 2000, and his brothers, Bruce, Gordon, and Richard.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his daughters, Patricia (Craig) Marlow of Clay; Barbara Clark of Liverpool; grandson, Brandon Marlow of Clay; sisters-in-law, Mary, Ethel, and Loretta Clark; Joyce Murphy; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services: noon Saturday, Nov. 26 at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, with burial to follow in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay. Calling hours: 10 a.m. to noon Saturday before the service at the funeral home, 3541 Route 31, Baldwinsville.
