Robert “Bob” H. Razey, 90, longtime resident of Mattydale, passed away Thursday, Nov, 3, 2011, at Malta Manor. Bob was a native of Howard, NY, and resided in Mattydale since 1957 with his wife, Helen. He was the son of the late Claude L. and Mary Louise (Hughes) Razey.
Bob was a graduate of Lafayette High School in Buffalo and served in the US Army during World War II and the Korean Conflict with a B29 Squadron. He retired in 1985 after 40 years as an aircraft mechanic from ExecAir at Hancock Field. Bob was a member of the VFW Post #3146 and a communicant of St. Margaret’s Church.
Bob was predeceased by his daughter, Gail Razey, in 2010. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, the former Helen (Haas); their three sons: David of Lawrenceville, GA, Michael and Thomas, both of Pennellville; his sister: Dorothy Deaver of Lafayette; a half-brother, Mark of Wellsville, NY; and his six grandchildren.
Calling hours: 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. Prayer service: 9:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 7, at the funeral home followed by a 10 a.m. mass of Christian burial at St. Margaret's Church.
