Rita Ryan Glover, 82, of Marcellus passed away peacefully at home Monday Aug. 22, 2011. Rita was a graduate of Marcellus Central School and had retired from Witherill’s and JCPenney in Camillus. She was a volunteer at Community General Hospital, Syracuse for many years. Rita was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church, Marcellus. She was an avid Yankees Fan. Rita was an accomplished seamstress who enjoyed quilting, knitting, texting and spending time with her family. She was predeceased by her son Charles Glover in 1999.
Surviving are her husband of 63 years Paul Glover; her children Linda (Paul) Riker of Dewitt, James (Regina) Glover of Carbondale, IL, Nancy (Brian) Rayle of Apollo Beach, FL, Judy (Louis) Poletto of Liverpool, and Matthew (Mandy) Glover of Marcellus; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several beloved nieces and nephews.
Calling hours were 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday Aug. 25 at Ryan Funeral Home, Marcellus. The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated 10 a.m. the next morning in St. Francis Xavier Church. Burial was at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.
