LETTER: Town clerk responds to minutes issue

To the editor: As the elected town clerk of the town of Lysander, I find it extremely important to respond to a recent article in the Baldwinsville Messenger entitled “Lysander town officials squabble over meeting minutes.” I want to assure the people of Lysander that the minutes that I prepare of any and all town board meetings accurately reflect what transpired at those meetings.

LETTER: Diamond responds to minutes article

To the editor: Many of you, I’m sure, have read the recent article that appeared in the Baldwinsville Messenger entitled “Lysander town officials squabble over meeting minutes.” As one of your elected town councilors I felt compelled to respond.

LETTER: Thanks for supporting the Marching Bees

To the editor: On Nov. 27, the Baldwinsville Central School District Marching Band had the privilege of representing Baldwinsville, Central New York and the entire state of New York in the 2014 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. This great honor would not have been possible without the support of the Baldwinsville community, as well as the surrounding CNY communities.

Protect Cazenovia’s town ethics and zoning laws

LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014, at 7:30 p.m., a public hearing will be held during the monthly meeting of this very same planning board where the discussion will, once again, be focused on an application submitted by the developer to build an even bigger event center. Please plan to attend this public hearing and make the members of the board abide by the very same laws to which they were sworn into office to uphold.

Letting the culinary spirit shine

LETTER TO THE EDITOR

To the editor: Two weeks ago, I was given the opportunity to let my culinary spirit shine once again. Nancy and Peter Mesurlian of Owera Vineyards hosted a cozy Harvest Dinner at the winery, drawing about 50 community members. As the sun set, we could see lights twinkling on the vines in the light rain, and the lake off in the distance. Cazenovia sure is beautiful.

LETTERS: Presented budget a workable one

To the editor: This year I attended two budget workshops and two of the town board meetings when the budget was discussed. I once again observed the struggle that the town board faces each year when budget discussions are held.

Cazenovia Children's House urges all to support UCC’s annual fund drive

LETTER TO THE EDITOR

To the editor: November is a month in which we focus on giving thanks. We have much to be thankful for in our community, and this is especially obvious during challenging and stressful times. There are many organizations who step forward to help and The United Community Chest of Cazenovia, Fenner and Nelson Neighbors Helping Neighbors campaign drive recognizes those organizations.

LETTERS: Thanks for support of food drive

To the editor: We want to extend a warm thanks to the village of Liverpool for their support of our food drive on Sunday, Nov. 16.

Downtown pedestrian danger comes from poor street configuration

LETTER TO THE EDITOR

To the editor: In response to the letter from the Wilsons in the Republican issue of Nov. 12 regarding traffic and pedestrians in Cazenovia: The main problem, in my opinion, is the unfortunate lack of street symmetry at Cazenovia's main traffic light: Lincklaen Street and Mill Street don't match up, creating a complex traffic situation that can only be handled, but not solved, by a confusing system of traffic signals.

Cazenovia should build a dog park

LETTER TO THE EDITOR

To the editor: I, and other canine-loving patrons of the Pewter Spoon Cafe, propose that town officials consider a request for the implementation of a dog park in or near the village of Cazenovia.

LETTERS: Becallo addresses budget issues

To the editor: I want to correct the false statements Supervisor Zambrano made regarding her 2015 Cicero town budget in the Nov. 17 Star-Review (“Cicero passes budget”).

LETTER: Thanks for helping Cub Scout Pack 71

To the editor: Cub Scout Pack 71 would like to thank the Baldwinsville community for supporting our popcorn fundraiser.

LETTER: Thanks to the voters of the 120th Assembly District

To the editor: I am writing to thank the constituents of the 120th Assembly District for providing me the honor of representing them in the New York State Assembly.

Mourning for Mr. Dubik

LETTER TO THE EDITOR

To the editor: Cazenovia mourns the loss of Mr. Robert Dubik, a consummate Cazenovian whose magnanimous personality, sincere compassion and visionary leadership enriched our community. His inexhaustible optimism and perpetual kindness made him a beloved superintendent and universally adored friend.

LETTER: Cicero budget a disappointment

To the editor: Yet again the Cicero Town Board and supervisor have disappointed the people of Cicero. The so-called budget they passed with a 4 to 1 vote is merely a way for them to kick the can further down the road and delay the inevitable.
