Come join the fun this weekend in the Liverpool Public Library’s underground garage.
There will be no parking allowed there today until Monday morning. We must make way for the annual Used Book Sale Down Under.
That means there will be more than 80,000 donated and withdrawn-from-the-library-shelves books, DVDs and CDs stacked on tables waiting for you to take them home.
Without further ado, here are the Top 10 reasons why you should come check out what will be going on at the corner of Second and Tulip streets.
Seriously, remember the details:
The free-admission segments of the event run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23 and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 24.
The two ticketed early shopper/dealer events go from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22, and 8 to 9 the next morning. Tickets for Friday are $15 available at the library now. That price rises to $20 at 6 p.m. Friday. Admission for the early-bird hour is $10.
Books and media are priced at $1.50 for adult hardcover books; $1 for children’s hardcover books, audiobooks, CDs, software and DVDs; and 50 cents for paperbacks. Sunday features the bag sale at $5. We provide the bag. A section of collectible books will be priced separately.
