At the April 3 annual meeting of the East Syracuse Board of Trustees, Village Justice Joseph Zavaglia and Associate Justice Helena (Holly) A. Glassford were sworn-in for abbreviated terms to end in January 2018. These shortened terms are due to the change of village elections from March to November to save on village costs. Before this decision was made, a village election would have been held in March 2017, where Zavaglia and Glassford would have had to run for reelection. Pictured is East Syracuse Mayor Robert Tackman swearing-in Zavaglia with Glassford acting as witness. Glassford was also sworn-in that night.
