Baldwinsville Memorial Day Parade set

Old Glory: In preparation for Memorial Day and the annual Baldwinsville Memorial Day Parade, the village of Baldwinsville has hung flags throughout the business district and along the parade route. These new flags have been provided to the village by a joint effort of the VFW Post 153 and the American Legion Post 113 who have purchased new flags through generous sponsorships from local residents. Our special thanks to American Legion member Don Collett and American Legion Commander, Gary Brown who led the effort to acquire these new flags.

Each year, the Baldwinsville Memorial Day Parade is held on the traditional Memorial Day to honor war veterans both past and present. Rich in tradition, the parade has spanned at least 100 years.

The Baldwinsville Parade proceeds from Lock Street west to the four corners of the village, south across the two bridges and west on Tappan Street to Riverview Cemetery.

This year, the parade will feature the Central New York Police and Fire Band, the Baldwinsville High School Band, the city of Syracuse Pipes and Drums and The Island Band, as well as any local VFWs, American legions, fire departments and Scout groups. Local civic and business organizations will be presenting floats with a patriotic theme.
