Marching Band named the grand champion at Darien Lake competition

The Baldwinsville Central School District marching band won first place at the annual Darien Lake marching band competition held on May 24.

The Marching Bees, consisting of students from Ray Middle School, Durgee Junior High School and Baker High School, beat seven other high school marching bands and won the overall Grand Championship Award. The band’s score of 96.9 was the highest score the band has ever received at this annual competition and the band was named an "Outstanding Band of Distinction" by the panel of judges.
