Baldwinsville man faces felony drug and weapon charges

New York state troopers recently arrested Vincent A. Lyons, 20, of Baldwinsville on multiple felony charges.

On March 17, just after 5 p.m., state police were patrolling I-90 westbound when they pulled over a vehicle for a traffic infraction. Troopers interviewed Lyons, who was the driver.

During the subsequent investigation, police located more than 100 grams of cocaine, 70 grams of Xanax, one gram of methamphetamine, controlled substance pills of Vyvanse, a controlled substance labeled as a stimulant and when in possession of Vyvance without a prescription it is a crime; a small amount of marijuana, a forged NYS driver’s license and an illegal switchblade in the vehicle Lyons was driving.

Lyons was arrested and transported to SP Dunkirk where he was processed and charged with the following: third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, Class B felony; fourth degree criminal possession of a stimulant, Class C felony; fifth degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, Class D felony; second degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, Class D felony; seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, Class A misdemeanor, fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree, Class A misdemeanor, unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation; and possession of a controlled substance in non-original container, which is a public health law violation.

Lyons was arraigned in the town of Portland Court and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail. He is due back in court at 9 a.m. Wednesday May 21.
