To fight the good fight

We see hope here because within our community we have people who are striving to take actions that benefit the village as a whole. We see this in our mayor, in some members of the village board and in residents such as Eric Burrell, who, along with some of our elected officials last week heard the neighbors’ complaints and worked to build consensus and move forward on a plan that is acceptable to the majority. We see in our village an ongoing fight to battle the perception of Cazenovia as a place unfriendly to business; we see evident public servants and individuals who are moving forward to build great things, who are willing to listen to all ideas, to incorporate them and create projects that benefit more than just a few naysayers, obstructionists and people with personal agendas.

We see these people fighting the good fight, and it gives us hope; it gives us motivation not to surrender our village to people with no vision and no sense of community.
