Put ‘Zing in Your Spring’ spring this Saturday

Kay Miracle Burke will entertain visitors to The Museum at the Shacksboro Schoolhouse this Saturday as the museum joins more than  20 other village sites hosting openhouses and special events. An accomplished musician and song writer, Burke will be autographing copies of her newest cd. Baldwinsville will welcome spring with extra zest this Saturday as village merchants put “Zing in Your Spring,” a daylong event featuring street musicians and entertainers, door prizes, open houses, specialty shopping and unique promotions.

Participants span the village from Kiwi Country Gift Shop and Stacy Kate on Mechanic Street to The Book Cellar on West Genesee Street. Additional stops on the east/west route include Baldwinsville School of Music, The Gift Shop at Village Hardware, Baldwinsville Public Library, Bliss Bridal and Formal Wear and Beyond the Attic Door.

The Nantucket Cat on Oswego Street anchors the northern end of the route that ends at The Museum at the  Shacksboro Schoolhouse on Canton Street. Additional participants on the north/south route include Cozy Corner Boutique, Deborah’s Sweet Treats, Maureen’s Hope Foundation, New You Massage, Sheehan’s Appliances, Inc., Mirror Mirror Bridal Boutique, Greater Baldwinsville Chamber of Commerce, Olive’s Eatery, Simply Chic, a la Maison and The Changing Room.

The event presents an opportunity for everyone to explore the great variety of services and shopping available within Baldwinsville. The village offers everything from music lessons and artisan clothing to gluten free baked goods and luxury skin care. Sponsors invite everyone to come in and meet our local entrepreneurs. Door prize registration will be held at each site.
