— Additionally, the village board restored the funds for ten flowerpots, which will be put back along West Manlius Street in the village. Last year, the flowerpots were taken out of the budget as a result of the tough financial year for the village.

Tackman added that he and trustees Jim Carr and Dan Wagner will be taking on the responsibility of caring for the flowerboxes under each of the entrance signs to the village, located on James Street, Burnet Ave and Hartwell Ave. In recent years, the flowerboxes have been filled with artificial flowers.

The next East Syracuse board meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on May 19.
