After prom party made possible by parents and local businesses

— For many years now, the Cazenovia High School Parent Teacher Student Association has put its efforts to the task of crafting a “must attend” After the Prom Party for high school juniors. This year is no exception. According to the event’s organizers, “Our goal is to create a fun filled evening in a chaperoned, safe, drug and alcohol free environment.”

Organizers have reached out to the local community and beyond, requesting donations to help create an exciting event with entertainment, food and a plethora of prizes. The response from parents and the local business community has been extraordinary.

One such business, Cazenovia Jewelry, went above and beyond by donating five Alex and Ani bracelets with a retail value of $260. Ralph Monforte, the business owner,

recognizes of the significance of the Alex and Ani brand to young buyers. The collections are “made up of powerful, meaningful pieces that are artisan crafted entirely in the United States with love and integrity,” according to the company’s founder.

Another noteworthy donation has been received from the Romano Car Dealership. Each year the dealership sponsors an After the Prom contest and this years prize of $500 will go to the Cazenovia After the Prom Party.

The party will be held from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. Saturday, May 10, at the American Legion and is open to all juniors and their dates regardless of whether or not they attend the prom.

The PTSA and After Prom Committee wish to extend their heartfelt thanks to all of the local businesses and parents for their continued generosity. We look forward to a safe and successful event.
