Struggling with draws all day, the Mustangs now needed one to preserve its lead – and Rich Ghezzi snared it, allowing Marcellus to run out the remaining clock and get Cizenski his first win as a head coach.
Harrison Cox scored four times for Marcellus. Kevin Hutchings had three goals and two assists, while Matt Hutchings got two goals and two assists. Aaron Quisik added an assist. Auburn got all of its offense fro Sean Lattimore (four goals) and the duo of Jack Burgmaster and Brendan Entenmann, who each got three goals.
