Stirpe urges drivers to take his I-Pledge to not text and drive

— All it takes is a moment of taking our eyes off the road to change lives forever. If a message can’t wait, it’s recommended to simply pull over on the side of the road where it’s safe or pull into a parking lot to send or read text messages.

Ultimately, we can educate drivers and pass laws to deter distracted driving, but the choice about whether or not you want to pick up that phone while you’re driving is up to you.
