Liverpool Liverpool village trustees Nick Kochan and Jim Rosier were re-elected on June 17when 41 village voters cast ballots. As usual, they both ran unopposed
Rosier drew 40 votes while Kochan, the deputy mayor, drew 37 votes.
According to the Onondaga County Board of Elections, there are presently 1,554 eligible voters in the village.
Rosier first took office in 2002 while Kochan became a trustee in 2006.
Like every member of the Village Board of Trustees, which also includes Mayor Gary White and trustees Bob Gaetano and Dennis Hebert, Kochan and Rosier are Republicans.
Democrats have failed to field a candidate for village office since 2001. That party, it appears, has not even conducted a caucus since that year.
