Yard sale to benefit Haiti planned for July 26, 27

— St. James Haiti Committee has finalized plans for its annual yard sale to be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 26, and Sunday, July 27, on Route 20 East past McDonald’s just outside the village of Cazenovia. Furniture, household items, appliances, athletic equipment, camping gear, tools, toys, decorations, games and crafts will be available.

Proceeds from the sales are used to support student scholarships and teacher salaries at St. Joseph's School in Dubre, the clean water project in Thibeau and the development of St. Ives Parish.

St. James began twinning with St. Ives Church in 2001. The Haiti Committee holds a variety of fundraisers throughout the year and is grateful for the benefactors who have enhanced the lives of our Haitian brothers and sisters through education, a faith community, clean water and ongoing development of infrastructure. Relationships with the Haitian community are maintained through correspondence and annual visits.

Donations for the sale will be gratefully accepted from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, July 25, at the location on Rt. 20 East. Volunteers will be available to help unload trucks and cars.
