Beaver Lake to hold Wild Wednesdays

Beaver Lake is excited to introduce Wild Wednesdays, a new program designed for children pre-school age and up. Each week, from July 9 thru Aug. 20 (except July 30), participants will explore Beaver Lake with a naturalist and take part in wild and fun activities.

Wild Wednesdays begin at 1 p.m. and is free with nature center admission.

Sunset canoe tour

Beaver Lake Nature Center is offering a special opportunity to paddle the lake in the evening from 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, July 19. Participants will get the chance to observe the grace of a great blue heron, the prowess of a kingfisher, and the close-up beauty of a water lily. The cost is $20 per canoe, canoes are limited to 560 pounds; maximum of 4 people per canoe. Advance registration is required.

Beaver Lake Nature Center, an Onondaga County Park, is located three miles west of Baldwinsville off of Route 370. Admission is $4 per vehicle. For more information, call 638-2519 or visit OnondagaCountyParks.com.
