Annie Walsh, 11, of Cazenovia, recently won the $2,500 pony derby at State College, Pa. Walsh was competing on her pony “Terian’s What a Fox,” and was the champion out of 23 ponies.

Earlier that weekend, Walsh also won the children’s 2-foot-6-inch division as well as the $500 classic — both competitions placing first out of 15 ponies.

Walsh, along with her two sisters, Grace and Molly, ride at a family farm in Cazenovia. She is the daughter of Julie and Joe Walsh.
